Post date: Oct 3, 2015 2:01:18 PM

Brother Knights,

This year's Life Chain will be held on Sunday, October 4th, from 2-3pm at St. Paul's. Please meet inside St. Paul ’s Gathering Space by 1:50 pm.The Life Chain is a prayerful and public witness against abortion. We stand along Gages Lake Road and Hunt Club Road praying for life while holding furnished signs such as "Pray to End Abortion" and "Adoption: The Loving Option". (no graphic pictures will be used) Life Chains will be held all across the United States and Canada during this time of prayer. Let's stand together in prayer to help change hearts. People of all ages are welcome to attend. Bring water, lawn chairs, umbrellas, strollers - whatever you need. It's a great chance for teens to get involved.

Our monthly meeting is in Thursday, 10/8, 7pm at St. Paul's. We pray the Liturgy of the Hours in the Eucharistic Chapel at 7pm, followed by the meeting, food and fellowship downstairs in the West Room. Please join us.

Setup for our Major Degree is Friday 10/9 at 6:30pm in the lower level. Many hands make this go quickly. Tell Brian Baldi you'll be there to help.

Major Degree is Saturday, 10/10. Report Time 10am, registration begins at 11am, 1st Degree at noon. Calling all degree team members,

If you haven't already, please let Ed Harrigan know that you can make it. We will run with Gold Crew members where available, but a Blue Crew member has already informed that he's away that weekend, so please confirm back.

Our annual Columbus Day Mass will be on Sunday, 10/11, 9am at St. Paul's. 4th-degree members who'll join the honor guard should report by 8:15 in the West Room. All other Knights, dress code is blue Council shirts. Bring the family! We volunteer to fill as many service/minister positions as are available for this Mass (non-Knights are always welcome to sign up to serve for their regular roles). Let Deacon Ivan Siap know if you and / or your family members would like to serve:

--2 lectors (Tom Maus and Conrad Wencka)

--10 eucharistic ministers (some positions have a specific task)

--6 ushers (maybe they can work with the regulars)

--1 cross bearer

--2 altar servers (KoC kids???)

--2 gift bearers (KoC family)

it would be great if we all, with our family members, would sit in the section near the statue of the Blessed Virgin. If interested in going out to brunch after Mass, let Ed Harrigan know.

A working party for the Tree Lot will be on Saturday, 10/24, 9am. Many hands make light work, we'd like to get out there for some prep work before the weather is less pleasant. Let Brian Baldi know you can make it, and mark your calendar.

We'll soon get the online signup sheet up for the tree lot sales. In the meantime, check out these photos of the transformation of the trailer! Dan Roder, Carl and Sylvia Willaby, Pat Hope, Harry Pulvermacher, John Randant and others have been rejuvenating the trailer over the last several weeks, both structurally and cosmetically, and it's lokking good.

Vivat Jesus.
